When sanding automotive primer or clear coat, keeping the workface visible is a primary concern. This configuration pulls dust efficiently, allowing technicians to monitor the scratch pattern and surface leveling. The discs use aluminum oxide or silicon carbide grain, covering P60 to P2000.
A 5-hole disc mounted on an 8-hole plate will block part of the extraction path, reducing dust management efficiency.
